" Beauty is in the eye of the beholder "
- Margaret Hungerford
This quote is saying to me that there is no specific definition of beauty. Everyone is different, and so is everyones opinion. It also is showing how confidence can impact your personality and how you look. When you look at your self, you get to judge and confidence shows. But you should never base your opinion on someone elses because they are all different.
This quote was from the book Molly Bawn, 1878. The book was about a frivolous, petulant Irish girl, a flirt, who arouses her lover's jealousy and ignores social conventions. The writer of the book, Margaret Hungerford lived from 27 April 1855 – 24 January 1897 and was born in Ireland. Molly Bawn was her second book ever written, written at age 18. Her books were first published and later as by "Mrs. Hungerford". Although in the states they were under the name 'The Dutchess". If the book is about making another man jelous, this would have something to do with beauty because if the girl in the story is trying to make another man jelous she could use her beauty to do so.
